Rayakottai Fort
It is located in Rayakottai, 30 km from Hosur. I have read about this in Krishangiri website and have planned to visit this place. We have reached this place around 2.30 PM. We have parked our bike near by a small shop at the entrance and have taken some eatable stuff in that shop and started to go up. First fifteen minutes it was very easy and after that our speed decreases.
We have taken enough breaks and continued our journey. While we were climbling the hill we haven't found not even a single person. So it was first time for us in this place and had a little bit scary. After 30 minutes our journey we have found two ways, one is left side and one is right side. We don't know which side to move. So we have decided to go left side first and come back then move in the right side next.
We have started in the left side and we have reached a place . There is a cave temple and three college students were studying there. We have asked them about the temple. They said it is "Durvasamalai balaji temple". This is the end point and we cant go forward in the left direction. We have spent some time here and have started back to the right side direction.
On the right side direction the way is very narrow and covered with bushes. after 10 minutes we have found entrance to the fort and a small pond on the hill. The view from the top of the hill of surroundings is excellent.
