Barlikadu
The spot is located at an easy destination reachable for people from Coimbatore, Tiruppur, Ooty, Mettupalayam etc. It is located near Pillur in Barlikadu of Karmadai range, one of the range in Coimbatore division. The way is a hilly terrain enriched with green vegetation with a pleasant climate providing many view points to have a awe for these scenes only on Saturdays and Sundays. It is situated (Coimbatore-Karmadai-Pilloor dam road-Barlikadu) 72 kms from Coimbatore central bus stand.
One has to carry food and water as it is a forest area and prior permission is required to go to the pilloor dam. there are two check points in the forest. One can cross the first check point but one has to has permission to cross the second check post.
